158 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 13, 1991 <br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT <br />Ms. Megan. Wright, Pretreatment Coordinator, Environmental <br />Services, submitted to the Board and recommended approval of a <br />Wastewater Discharge Permit for Prairie View R.D.F./Div. of Ind. <br />Wastes Systems, Inc., 15505 Shively Road, Wyatt, Indiana, Ms. <br />Wright noted that this is a new permit. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and carried, the <br />Permit as submitted was approved. <br />APPROVE ETHNIC FESTIVAL BOOTH APPLICATIONS <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Director, Office of Community Affairs, <br />submitted to the Board the following applications for food, <br />craft, display and activity booths in conjunction with the Ethnic <br />Festival and recommended approval: <br />Food 53 <br />Craft 46 <br />Display 15 <br />Activity 8 <br />Total: 122 <br />Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the booth applications as <br />submitted be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF LA SALLE GRILL TO INSTALL CANOPIES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the request submitted by the LaSalle Grill, <br />115 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana, to install four (4) <br />canopies and approval is recommended. Mrs. DeClercq made a <br />motion that the recommendations be accepted and the request be <br />approved. Ms. Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />REQUEST OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY MEMORIAL SOCIETY TO CLOSE <br />WASHINGTON STREET IN CONJUNCTION WITH MEMORIAL DAY ACTIVITIES <br />MAY 27, 1991 <br />- REQUEST OF HOLY CROSS CHURCH TO CLOSE VASSAR STREET IN <br />CONJUNCTION WITH PARISH FESTIVAL - MAY 19, 1991 <br />- REQUEST TO CLOSE 400 BLOCK OF NORTH COQUILLARD DRIVE FOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY - MAY 25, 1991 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests which were <br />submitted to the Board on April 22, 1991 and April 29, 1991 and <br />approval is recommended. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion <br />that the above referred to three (3) requests be approved. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />- TO CLOSE 30TH STREET FROM PLEASANT TO NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD. FOR <br />NEIGHBORHOOD/GOING AWAY PARTY - JUNE 2 1991 <br />Ms. Lydia C. DeGeyter, 1325 South 30th Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application for Use of and <br />Blocking of Access to Public Right -of -Way for a Party or <br />Similar Event, requesting permission to close 30th Street, from <br />Pleasant to Northside Boulevard, for a neighborhood/going away <br />party to be held on Sunday, June 2, 1991 from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 <br />p.m. <br />1 <br />n <br />1 <br />
