REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 29, 1991 <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - PAINTING AND FINISHING AT THE <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded <br />on March 18, 1991, to Interstate Decorating Service, 140 North <br />Meade Street, P.O. Box 3684, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount <br />of $87,588.00 for the above referred to project, a Contract in <br />said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. DeClercq, seconded by Ms. Humphreys and <br />carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate <br />Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance as <br />submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF WEST SIDE MEMORIAL COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT ANNUAL <br />MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - MAY 27, 1991 <br />Ms. Adeline Jaskowiak, Secretary, West Side Memorial Committee, <br />advised that the Committee requests permission to conduct the <br />annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, 1991. Ms. <br />Jaskowiak noted that the parade will assemble at 7:45 a.m. at <br />Olive and Ford Streets and will move.out at 8:30 a.m. The parade <br />will proceed west on Ford Street past Pierre Navarre School to <br />disband at Summit Drive. The time of the parade from start to <br />finish will be approximately one and one-half (1 1/2) hours. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the request be approved. Ms. <br />Humphreys seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />TO CLOSE COQUILLARD, FROM MADISON AND CEDAR, FOR NEIGHBORHOOD <br />BLOCK PARTY - MAY 25, 1991 <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Tessa McGann, 401 North <br />Coquillard Drive, South Bend, Indiana, requested, on behalf of <br />the neighborhood, that the A00 block_ of North Coquillard Drive, <br />between Madison and Cedar, be closed from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 <br />p.m. on Saturday, Ma-,;, 25, 1991, for a neighborhood block party <br />for the Memorial Day holiday. <br />OF HOLY CROSS PARISH TO CLOSE VASSAR, FROM WILBER TO PARKING <br />LOT DRIVE_, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARISH FESTIVAL - MAY 19. 1991 <br />Mr. Michael R. Davy, Holy Cross Pastoral Council, Holy Cross <br />Church, advised that on behalf of the Holy Cross Church and <br />Pastor Father Don Dilg, he requests permission to block off a <br />portion of Vassar Street, on Sunday, May 19, 1991, between <br />11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. This request is to provide a safety <br />,zone from Wilber Street to the eastern most parking lot drive <br />during their parish Pentecost Festival <br />OF 1991 COMMITTEE FOR THE CROP WALK TO CONDUCT ANNUAL CROP <br />WALK - SEPTEMBER 29, 1991 <br />Ms. Jeanette S. Cox, Arrangements Committee, 1991 CROP Walk, <br />advised that on behalf of the 1991 Committee for the CROP <br />Walk, she would like permission to conduct the annual Walk on <br />Sunday, September 29, 1991 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 P.M. Ms. Cox <br />submitted with the request the route to be utilized for this <br />event. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the above requests be referred <br />to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST OF C.E. STAFFORD TO UTILIZE CITY PARKING LOT AS <br />WORKING AREA IN CONJUNCTION WITH REPAIRS TO BUILDING AT <br />125 LAFAYETTE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to request which was <br />submitted to the Board on April 15, 1991 and approval is <br />
