REGULAR MEETING MARCH 25, 1991 President, LaSalle Grill, 115 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana, requested an easement across the sidewalk for their canopy. Mr. Haskin noted that the design of the canopy has already been approved by the Design Review Committee. Additionally, Mr. Haskin requested a yellow stripe in front of their entry to allow their customers access and egress in case of an emergency. Mr. Haskin was present at the meeting and submitted a letter from B.H. Awning & Tent, 2275 M-139, Benton Harbor, Michigan, outlining the dimensions of the four (4) canopies to be installed. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST TO CLOSE FRANCES, FROM MADISON TO CEDAR, FOR BLOCK PARTY - APRIL 27, 1991 - REFERRED Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. David B. Neidell, 424 North Frances #12, South Bend, Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use of and Blocking of Access to Public Right -of -Way for a Party or Similar Event, requesting that Frances Street, from Madison to Cedar, be closed from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 1991 for a block party. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. DeClercq seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY STREET NAME CHANGES In a Memorandum to the Board, Mayor Joe Kernan requested that the Board approve the following recommendations of street sign changes for Monday, April 1, 1991: 1. Corner of Ford/Warren - Change to Dyngus Boulevard 2. Corner of Hill/South Bend Avenue - Change to Solidarity Avenue 3. Corner of Colfax/Elm - Change to Solidarity Boulevard Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the recommendations were accepted and the temporary street name changes approved. TITLE SHEET - PORTAGE REALTY'S COUNTRY VILLAGE IN GEORGETOWN UNIT 6 - SANITARY Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has recommended that the following Contractors/Excavation Bonds be approved and/or released as indicated: CONTRACTORS BONDS Brent Huffman Approve Effective 3-18-91 Todd W.
