REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 16, 1992 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the above referred to Contract was approved and <br />executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR STAFF SUPPORT - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION OF SOUTH BEND, MISHAWAKA, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that submitted to the, Board was an <br />Agreement for Staff Support between the Business Development <br />Corporation of South Bend, Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, Indiana <br />and the City of South Bend by and through its Board of Public <br />Works on behalf of the Economic Development Department. <br />The Agreement is for the year 1993 and provides for staff <br />support. The total amount of this Agreement is $97,000.00. <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Agreement be <br />approved and executed. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />AWARD BID - DEMOLITION - SOUTHERN HOTEL AND BORDEN BUILDING <br />(STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT AREA) <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised <br />that on November 9, 1992, the Board received and opened five (5) <br />bids for the demolition of the Southern Hotel and the Borden <br />Building. Mr. Littrell further advised that he has reviewed the <br />bids and found that the amounts read at the Board meeting agree <br />with his review. Therefore, Mr. Littrell recommended that the <br />Board award the low bid of LaFree Excavating, Inc., 1251 West <br />Third Street, Osceola, Indiana, in the amount of $126,784.00. <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the bid be awarded as <br />recommended. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST E/W ALLEY S. OF L.W.W. <br />& THE 1ST N/S ALLEY W. OF <br />N. WALNUT <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated <br />that the Common Council has forwarded <br />to the <br />Board a Vacation Petition <br />as submitted by the following: <br />1. <br />Joe W.
