346 <br />REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 5, 1992 <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Development Corporation of St. Joseph <br />County, Indiana (hereinafter "HDC"), an Indiana not -for -profit <br />corporation meeting the requirements of I.C. 36-1-11-1(a)(7), <br />desires to obtain ownership of the above -described real estate <br />for the development of affordable, low-income housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the use of said property for such purposes will be <br />beneficial to the community, and the City is willing to transfer <br />said property to HDC for the development of affordable, <br />low-income housing. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />1)The City shall transfer to HDC four (4) parcels of real <br />property more particularly described as follows: <br />Key No. 18-7015-0602 <br />Lot 200 in Wenger and Kreighbaums replat of <br />Wenger's Sixth Addition to the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, commonly known as 622 East Broadway <br />Street. <br />Key No. 18-7028-1106 <br />Lot numbered 109 in the'Indiana Avenue Addition to <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known as <br />306 East Haney Street. <br />Key No. 18-7031-1206 <br />35 feet North Side, 75 feet South End of Lot 98 <br />and 35 feet North Side of 75 feet South End, 8 <br />feet East Side of Lot 97 of Bowmans Place Addition <br />to the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known <br />as 1707 St. Joseph Street. <br />Key No. 18-5091-3211 <br />Lot numbered 299 of Park Place Third Addition to <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known as <br />1326 Corby Boulevard. <br />2)Such transfers shall be accomplished by quit -claim deed, <br />executed by the Mayor of the City of South Bend and attested to <br />by the South Bend City Clerk. <br />3)Such transfers shall be made by the City to HDC in an "as <br />is" condition with no warranties, indemnities or representations <br />made relative to said real property. <br />Adopted this 5th day of October, 1992. <br />SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John Leszczynski <br />s/James R. AND DARLENE EWING <br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller advised members of the <br />Board that through the County tax sale the City acquired <br />seventy-five (75) parcels of property for one dollar ($1.00) <br />each. Pursuant to Resolution No. 38-1992, the Board transferred <br />four (4) of those parcels to the Housing Development Corporation. <br />Because the County conveyed one (1) parcel of property at 522 <br />Dayton Street to the City in error, Resolution No. 39-1992 has <br />been prepared and submitted to the Board giving back the property <br />1 <br />1 <br />
