REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 5, 1992 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:55 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 1992, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. <br />Mary H. Mueller present. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />September 28, 1992, were approved. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 38-1992 - TRANSFER OF FOUR (4) PARCELS OF <br />REAL PROPERTY TO THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller advised that the City <br />acquired through the County tax sale seventy-five (75) parcels of <br />property for one dollar ($1.00) each. The four (4) parcels <br />listed in the Resolution submitted today are to be transferred by <br />the City to the Housing Development Corporation for low income <br />housing. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the <br />Resolution be adopted. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried and the following Resolution No. 38-1992 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 38-1992 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS <br />OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter the <br />"City"), is the owner of four (4) parcels of real property <br />situated in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />and being more particularly described as follows: <br />Key No. 18-7015-0602 <br />Lot 200 in Wenger and Kreighbaums replat of <br />Wenger's Sixth Addition to the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, commonly known as 622 East Broadway <br />Street, <br />Key No. 18-7028-1106 <br />Lot numbered 109 in the Indiana Avenue Addition to <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known as <br />306 East Haney Street, <br />Key No. 18-7031-1206 <br />35 feet North Side, 75 feet South End of Lot 98 <br />and 35 feet North Side of 75 feet South End, 8 <br />feet East Side of Lot 97 of Bowmans Place Addition <br />to the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known <br />as 1707 St. Joseph Street, <br />Key No. 18-5091-3211 <br />Lot numbered 299 of Park Place Third Addition to <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, commonly known as <br />1326 Corby Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, said real property was obtained by the City from St. <br />Joseph County from among the parcels held for the County Owned <br />Property Sale for the price of One Dollar ($1.00) per parcel, <br />with the understanding that the City would use such parcels for <br />community and economic development purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of City real estate is <br />vested in the Board of Public Works pursuant to I.C. 36-9-6-3 and <br />36-1-11-1, et seq.; and <br />
