REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 8, 1992 <br />and at this time recommends the award of the lowest Proposal <br />submitted by Powell Construction Company, Inc., 1713 South Bend <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $16,866.00. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and <br />the Proposal be awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF WARRANTY DEED <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Division of Engineering has <br />submitted to the Board a Warranty Deed which has been recorded in <br />the St. Joseph County Recorder's Office and which conveys to the <br />City a part of the right-of-way of West Calvert Street at <br />Michigan Street, referred to as the North one-half (1/2) of Lot 3 <br />Stover & Witwers, which the City assumed they already owned. <br />This property was conveyed to the City by Mr. Paul Grothaus. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that this Warranty Deed be accepted for <br />filing. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. Burns, 918 College Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted an Application For Use Of And Blocking Of Access To <br />Public Right -Of -Way For A Party Or Similar Event, requesting <br />that the 900 block of College Street, be closed from 11:00 <br />a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 1992, for a <br />neighborhood block party. <br />- TO PURCHASE CITY_ -OWNED PROPERTY AT 622 EAST BROADWAY <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Helen Partin, 618 East Broadway <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised that she is interested <br />in purchasing the City -owned vacant property located at 622 <br />East Broadway Street; South Bend, Indiana, as she is the <br />adjacent property owner. <br />1 <br />
