REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 31, 1992 <br />FILING OF: <br />- GRANT OF PERPETUAL EASEMENT - SANITARY SEWER <br />- CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE <br />(DUNN ROAD SEWER EXTENSION) <br />Mr. Leszczynski-advised that submitted to the Board for filing <br />was a Grant of Perpetual Easement Sanitary Sewer and a Consent to <br />Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate in regards to the <br />Dunn Road Sewer Extension project. Board Member and Attorney <br />Mary H. Mueller noted that these documents are required as the <br />City extended sewers to that location. Mrs. Mueller therefore <br />made a motion that the documents, as outlined above, be accepted <br />for filing. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE IRREVOCABLE STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT - TOPSFIELD ROAD <br />nV1TVT nDMVVrV OnDnnD A M7nAT <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Board is in receipt of <br />Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. 779 as submitted by the <br />Valley American Bank, P.O. Box 328, South Bend, Indiana, for the <br />account of Topsfield Road Development Corporation, 15802 Cedar <br />Ridge Court, Granger, Indiana. It is noted that the Letter of <br />Credit is in the amount of $150,000.00 and expires on February <br />24, 1993. It is further noted that this Letter of Credit is <br />issued in regards to the completion of infrastructure <br />improvements for Phase I Deer Run. Mrs. Mueller made a motion <br />that the Letter of Credit be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />REQUEST OF SOUTH BEND ART CENTER FOR PLACEMENT OF SIGNS - <br />REFERRED <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a letter <br />from Ms. Leslie Gitlin, Publicist, South Bend Regional Museum of <br />Art, 120 South St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Indiana. <br />Ms. Gitlin stated that the South Bend Regional Museum of Art, <br />located within Century Center, is a private, not -for -profit <br />organization that receives more than half of its funding from <br />public sources. The museum receives thirty-eight per cent (38%) <br />of its funding from the South Bend Community School Corporation, <br />nine and one-half per cent (9.5%) from the City of South Bend, <br />and six per cent (6%) from the State of Indiana through the <br />Indiana Arts Commission. <br />Ms. Gitlin requested that the City's Bureau of Traffic and <br />Lighting install South Bend Regional Museum of Art directional <br />signs with arrows on polls that currently hold Century Center <br />signs. Ms. Gitlin stated that the Museum of Art signs are <br />thirty-six inches (36") by thirty inches (30") vertical. Ms. <br />Gitlin submitted with her request the location of forty-seven <br />(47) Century Center signs where they are requesting the Art <br />Museum signs be placed. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />request be referred to the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. Mueller seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />- SALE OF ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />- FUEL DISPENSING AND STORAGE FACILITY - MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />FACILITY <br />- FUEL DISPENSING AND STORAGE FACILITY - ORGANIC RESOURCES <br />FACILITY <br />- HDC BLOCK PARKING PROJECT - MONROE PARK REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />Mrs. Kathy Dempsey, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, <br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of approximately <br />seven (7) abandoned vehicles, which are being stored at Super <br />Auto Salvage Corporation, 3300 South Main Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana. It was noted that all vehicles have been stored more <br />than fifteen (15) days, identification checks had been run for <br />auto theft and the owners and lienholders notified. <br />
