REGULAR MEETING JUNE 29, 1992 <br />on July 3-5, 1992 as part of the Ethnic Festival activities. <br />Mrs. Mueller noted that the City will realize ten (10) to twenty <br />(20) per cent of the proceeds of the circus depending on the <br />amount collected. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that <br />the Agreement be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion <br />which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS: <br />- OF BASIX NIGHTCLUB TO CLOSE E/W ALLEY BETWEEN EDDY <br />AND BEYER AVENUE IN CONJUNCTION WITH ACTIVITIES - JULY 2-5 <br />1992 <br />- TO CLOSE WAYNE STREET, FROM ESTHER STREET TO GREENLAWN <br />AVENUE, FOR BLOCK PARTY - JULY 4, 1992 <br />- TO CONDUCT ETHNIC FESTIVAL AND RELATED EVENTS - JULY 3-5 <br />1992 <br />- OF REINKE CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION TO OCCUPY PUBLIC <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY AT 305 W. MADISON <br />- OF CITY AWNING TO INSTALL CANOPY AT 400 SOUTH MAIN STREET <br />(ADT BUILDING) <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate City departments and <br />bureaus have reviewed the above referred to requests and approval <br />is recommended. <br />It is noted that Reinke Construction Corporation, 1216 West <br />Sample Street, P.O. Box 3095, South Bend, Indiana, has requested <br />permission to place a job site trailer between the north curb of <br />Madison Street and the sidewalk and that the sidewalk be closed <br />from Lafayette Boulevard to the west right-of-way line of the <br />first north/south alley west of Lafayette Boulevard, in <br />conjunction with construction at the Temple Beth -El at 305 West <br />Madison. It is further noted that this occupancy of the public <br />right-of-way is requested for the period June 15, 1992 through <br />December 1992. <br />Additionally, it is noted that the request of City Awning was <br />received by the Board on May 26, 1992 and the request of Basix <br />Nightclub and the request to close Wayne Street for a <br />neighborhood block party were received by the Board on June 22, <br />1992. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the requests be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID - PARTS - GRIT CHANNEL REBUILD - WASTEWATER TREATMENT <br />PLANT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. John J. Dillon, Director, Division <br />of Environmental Services, recommended that the Board award the <br />low bid of Bearings Service Company, Inc., 412 East Sample Street <br />South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $32,618.61 for parts for <br />the Grit Channel Rebuild Project at the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be <br />accepted and the bid be awarded.
