<br />AWARD BID - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT - 1216, 1237 1/2 AND 1327 1/2 W.
<br />WASHINGTON
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a
<br />recommendation from Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of
<br />Engineering, in regards to the above referred to project for
<br />which bids were received and opened by the Board on April 6,
<br />1992. Mr. Littrell recommends that the Board award the low bid
<br />of Clean Air Systems, Inc., 23349 State Road 23 West South Bend,
<br />Indiana, in the amount of $10,855.00. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BIDS - STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR RESIDENTIAL ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
<br />AND DEMOLITION PROJECT - PHASE III
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a
<br />recommendation from Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of
<br />Engineering, for the Studebaker Corridor Residential Asbestos
<br />Abatement and Demolition Project - Phase III.
<br />For the Asbestos Abatement portion of this project, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommended the award of the low bid of Clean Air Systems, Inc.,
<br />23349 State Road 23 West, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of
<br />$6,800.00. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the award be approved. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
<br />Additionally, Mr. Littrell recommended that the Board award the
<br />low bid of B & J Excavation, Inc., 1104 West Donald Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $18,600.00, for the demolition
<br />portion of this project. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this
<br />bid be awarded as recommended. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion
<br />which carried.
<br />It is noted that bids for these projects were opened by the Board
<br />on April 6, 1992.
<br />AWARD BID - TRUCKING OF BELT PRESSED WASTE WATER SLUDGE FOR LAND
<br />APPLICATION
<br />Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, Department of Sanitation, advised
<br />that he has reviewed the bids received on April 6, 1992, for the
<br />above referred to service and at this time recommends that the
<br />Board award the low bid of Klink Trucking, Inc., P.O. Box #428,
<br />Ashley, Indiana, as follows:
<br />Hourly trucking of belt pressed waste water sludge for
<br />land application:
<br />Monday thru Friday $51.50/hour
<br />Saturday $58.00/hour
<br />Sunday $68.00/hour
<br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the bid be awarded as
<br />recommended. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - ROLL BOX SERVICES TO HAUL "WHITE GOODS" RUBBISH AND
<br />"SPECIAL WASTE"
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a
<br />recommendation from Mr. Robert Kruszynski, Manager, Department of
<br />Sanitation, regarding the bids received on April 6, 1992, for the
<br />above referred to services. Mr. Kruszynski recommends at this
<br />time that the Board award the bid of Superior Waste Systems,
<br />A Division of Indiana Waste Systems, Inc., 20645 West Ireland
<br />Road, South Bend, Indiana, as follows:
