<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
<br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />1. The following described property shall be traded in or
<br />exchanged as a reduction on the purchase price of the following
<br />described property of a similar nature:
<br />PROPERTY TO BE TRADED -IN: ONE (1) 1989 FORD F350 1 TON
<br />CAB/CHASSIS
<br />VIN: #2FDKF37MOKCA56075
<br />MILEAGE: 213,067 MILES
<br />PROPERTY TO BE PURCHASED:
<br />ONE (1) 1992 CHEVY 1 TON
<br />CAB/CHASSIS
<br />VIN. #lGBKC34F4NJ104626
<br />2. That the latter described property, in No. 1 immediately
<br />above, shall be purchased from Gates Chevrolet Corporation, 401
<br />South Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for a total
<br />purchase price of $14,553.02 the same reflecting a reduction for
<br />the trade-in or exchange of the former described property, in No.
<br />1 immediately above.
<br />3. That the traded in or exchanged property, to wit:
<br />1) 1989 FORD F350 1 TON CAB/CHASS

<br />MILEAGE: 213.067 MILES
<br />shall be removed from the inventory of the City of South Bend.

<br />AWARD BID - DEMOLITION - 1215-1/21217-1221 1225-1227
<br />1234-1236 AND 1237-1/2 WEST WASHINGTON
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised
<br />the Board that pursuant to the receipt of six (6) bids on April
<br />6, 1992, for the above referred to project, he recommends that
<br />the Board award the bid of the lowest bidder, B & J Excavation,
<br />Inc., 1104 West Donald Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount
<br />of $27,200.00. Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Mueller
<br />seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - DEMOLITION - 1212, 1214, 1218, 1226, 1228 AND 1230 W.
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised
<br />the Board that he recommends that the bid of B & J Excavation,
<br />Inc., 1104 West Donald Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount
<br />of $35,500.00, for the above referred to project, be awarded. It
<br />is noted that bids for this project were opened by the Board on
<br />April 6, 1992. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded. Mr. Caldwell
<br />seconded the motion which carried.
