REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 16, 1992 <br />ADDENDUM I <br />YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION <br />FRIENDS OF THE UNEMPLOYED ACTIVITY <br />Addendum I extends the Contract term to August 31, 1992. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the above referred to Addenda were approved and <br />executed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 13-1992 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE EQUIPMENT <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a letter <br />from Mr. Daniel O'Neill, City Sealer, advising that the Bureau of <br />Weights and Measures has the original City Sealer Scales which <br />are obsolete. Mr. O'Neill also advised that the Northern Indiana <br />Historical Museum is interested in acquiring these scales for <br />their historical value for placement in the museum section on the <br />City of South Bend. It is noted that the scales have a dollar <br />value of five hundred dollars ($500.00). <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the appropriate <br />Resolution which has been prepared be adopted. Mrs. Mueller <br />seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution <br />No.13-1992 was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13-1992 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS DECLARING <br />PROPERTY OBSOLETE AND CONVEYING SAID PROPERTY TO <br />THE NORTHERN INDIANA HISTORICAL MUSEUM <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works <br />that the following property is deemed obsolete and unfit for the <br />purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the <br />City of South Bend: <br />CITY SEALER SCALES <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6(c) permits and establishes <br />procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for <br />the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer <br />needed by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Northern Indiana Historical Museum is interested <br />in acquiring these scales for their historical value for <br />placement in the museum. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works <br />of the City of South Bend, that the item listed above is no <br />longer needed by the City; is unfit for the purpose for which it <br />was intended and has an estimated value of less than one thousand <br />dollars ($1,000.00). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said property be transferred to <br />the Northern Indiana Historical Museum for exhibition purposes. <br />ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1992. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E.
