As the Board of Public Works meeting scheduled for <br />March 9, 1992, was cancelled due to the lack of a quorum, bids <br />were to be opened today. <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board did not receive any bids for <br />the above referred to service and therefore he made a motion to <br />readvertise for the receipt of bids for this service. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. In response to a <br />question from the news media concerning who is providing this <br />service at the present time, Mr. Leszczynski advised that the <br />City does not haul sludge this time of the year. <br />APPROVAL OF APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />AND NECESSITY FOR THE OPERATION OF TAXICABS - AMERICAN CAB_ <br />COMPANY <br />It is noted that on March 2, 1992, the Board of Public Works <br />conducted a Public Hearing regarding the application for <br />Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the Operation <br />of Taxicabs as submitted by Mr. Mark James Brown, 25803 State <br />Road 2, South Bend, Indiana to operate the American Cab Company. <br />At that time the Board determined to table consideration of.this <br />application until their next regular meeting in order to consider <br />concerns raised at the Public Hearing regarding compliance with <br />1 <br />Fj <br />1 <br />
