" 1 REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1992 APPROVE REQUEST TO INSTALL SIGN AT 1326 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET (ANIMAL FEED AND GARDEN CENTER) Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the City departments and bureaus who have reviewed the above referred to request which was submitted to the Board on January 13, 1992. Board Attorney Mary H. Mueller advised that the proposed sign will encroach onto the public right-of-way by eight feet (81) and that an Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement will be required. Therefore, Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that this request be approved subject to the applicant providing the required signed Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following one (1) traffic control device was approved: 1. NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Parking Space (251) LOCATION: 1205 High Street (east side) REMARKS: Requested by Mr. John Szymarowski APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECONDHAND DEALERS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following two (2) secondhand dealers license applications have been received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: KEN'S DISCOUNT SALES, INC. Kenneth Wayne Parritt 2802 West Western Avenue New & Used general merchandise INDIANA FURNITURE Fred Romine 742 West Indiana Avenue Used merchandise It is noted that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department on the above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. DeClercq and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's office for issuance of licenses. APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTORS AND EXCAVATION BONDS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Engineering Department has recommended that the Bond of Excavation for Walter Collins be released effective February 3, 1992 and that the Bond of Contractor for William C. Blankenship be released effective February 3, 1992. Mrs. DeClercq made a motion that the recommendations be accepted and the bonds be released. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of two (2) lists as submitted by the Department of Code Enforcement indicating that twenty-one (21) miscellaneous properties were cleaned by the Department from January 20, 1992 to January 23,
