3 7 d;.a <br />R <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 27, 1993 <br />many years of experience with Jacobsen equipment and is well <br />satisfied with its performance, not only from a mechanical point - <br />of -view but also from the "good cut" it provides to the golf <br />course "greens" surfaces, the most important turf on a golf <br />course. The staff's review of the John Deere equipment convinced <br />them that the John Deere alternate offered is a generation behind <br />the Jacobsen equipment specified and the golf course would be <br />better served by the Jacobsen equipment. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and bid of Illinois Lawn be awarded. Mr. Caldwell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSULTING AGREEMENT - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME <br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Project Manager, College Football Hall of Fame, <br />advised that submitted to the Board today for approval is an <br />Agreement between the City and Insignia Catalog Services, 1835 <br />South Franklin Street, South Bend, Indiana. <br />Ms. Dobski noted that Insignia Catalog Services will provide basic <br />retail store design services needed to enhance the retail <br />operation of the Hall of Fame. Insignia will work with various <br />representatives from the Hall of Fame, the architectural/exhibit <br />design company, the project manager and contractor to provide <br />retail space design ideas as well as recommendations concerning <br />such items as fixtures and types of products to be sold. <br />Ms. Dobski further noted that this Agreement is in effect until <br />the end of the year. Insignia Catalog will be paid at the rate of <br />sixty-five dollars ($65.00) per hour, plus reimbursement for <br />reasonable out-of-pocket expenses associated with the project. <br />the total cost of this Agreement is not to exceed $5,500.00. Mr. <br />Caldwell made a motion that this Agreement be approved and <br />executed. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the following requests were referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation: <br />OF OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, FOR STREET CLOSING AND NO <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH "RUDY" PREMIERE - <br />OCTOBER 6, 1993 <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Mikki Dobski, Office of <br />Community Affairs, requested the following traffic controls <br />for the "Rudy" premiere to be held on Wednesday, October 6, <br />1993: <br />STREET CLOSINGS: <br />- Morris Civic Drive <br />6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. <br />- Colfax, between St. Joseph/Main <br />6:00 <br />p.m. - 10:00 p.m. <br />- Michigan St., from Colfax/Jefferson <br />(as <br />9:00 <br />needed) <br />- 10:00 <br />p.m. p.m. <br />- Century Center Drive <br />9:00 <br />p.m. - 12:00 a.m. <br />NO PARKING <br />- Morris Civic Drive <br />6:00 P.M. - 10:00 p.m. <br />- Woodward Court - Both sides 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. <br />(east side removed first, west side as needed) <br />- Century Center Drive 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. <br />
