AMOUNT BID 20. 22847 $135.00 Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. AWARD QUOTATION - STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT - PHASE IA, CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT 2 In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised that on September 7, 1993, the Board received two (2) Quotations for construction of curbs and sidewalks along South Main Street and West Garst Streets in the Studebaker Corridor. Two (2) corrections were made affecting the amount read for Murdock and Sons Quotation. The amounts of Items No. 13 and 15 were incorrectly calculated by Murdock and Sons. Mr. Littrell noted that he recommends that the Board award the low Quotation of Murdock and Sons Construction, Inc., for the base bid only without alternates, in the amount of $21,466.50. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this recommendation be accepted and the Quotation be awarded. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE REQUESTS TO CONDUCT AUCTIONS: POLICE DEPARTMENT - AUCTION OF BICYCLES AND UNCLAIMED PROPERTY - OCTOBER 16, 1993 DIVISION OF EQUIPMENT SERVICES - OBSOLETE VEHICLES - OCTOBER 9, 1993 In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak requested permission to dispose of unclaimed bicycles and other property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 16, 1993, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and completed by 1:00 p.m. It was noted that the auction will be conducted in the rear of the South Bend Police Station in the garage area. The auction will be conducted by Kaser's Auction Service. Additionally, Mr. Matthew L. Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to conduct an auction of approximately sixty (60) vehicles, two (2) truck beds and five (5) pieces of miscellaneous equipment. This auction will take place on October 9, 1993, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the rear of the Equipment Services Facility at 1045 West Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana and will also be conducted by Kaser's Auction Service. It is noted that a complete list of vehicles to be auctioned will be presented to the Board on September 20, 1993, in order that they may be declared obsolete and no longer needed by the City.
