Mr. Caldwell seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION - STUDEBAKER CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT - PHASE IA, <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT 2 <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, <br />Division of Engineering, advised that on September 7, 1993, the <br />Board received two (2) Quotations for construction of curbs and <br />sidewalks along South Main Street and West Garst Streets in the <br />Studebaker Corridor. Two (2) corrections were made affecting the <br />amount read for Murdock and Sons Quotation. The amounts of Items <br />No. 13 and 15 were incorrectly calculated by Murdock and Sons. <br />Mr. Littrell noted that he recommends that the Board award the low <br />Quotation of Murdock and Sons Construction, Inc., for the base bid <br />only without alternates, in the amount of $21,466.50. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that this recommendation be accepted and <br />the Quotation be awarded. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS TO CONDUCT AUCTIONS: <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - AUCTION OF BICYCLES AND UNCLAIMED <br />PROPERTY - OCTOBER 16, 1993 <br />DIVISION OF EQUIPMENT SERVICES - OBSOLETE VEHICLES - <br />OCTOBER 9, 1993 <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Ronald G. Marciniak <br />requested permission to dispose of unclaimed bicycles and other <br />property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 16, <br />1993, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and completed by 1:00 p.m. It was <br />noted that the auction will be conducted in the rear of the South <br />Bend Police Station in the garage area. The auction will be <br />conducted by Kaser's Auction Service. <br />Additionally, Mr. Matthew L. Chlebowski, Director, Division of <br />Equipment Services, requested permission to conduct an auction of <br />approximately sixty (60) vehicles, two (2) truck beds and five (5) <br />pieces of miscellaneous equipment. This auction will take place <br />on October 9, 1993, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the rear of the <br />Equipment Services Facility at 1045 West Sample Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana and will also be conducted by Kaser's Auction <br />Service. It is noted that a complete list of vehicles to be <br />auctioned will be presented to the Board on September 20, 1993, in <br />order that they may be declared obsolete and no longer needed by <br />the City. <br />
