36 REGULAR MEETING Mr. Leszczynski conduct auctions which carried. SEPTEMBER 13, 1993 made a motion that both of these requests to be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion APPROVE CONTRACTS FOR SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY/OBSOLETE VEHICLES AT PUBLIC AUCTION - KASER'S AUCTION SERVICE - OCTOBER 9 1993 AND OCTOBER 16, 1993 Submitted to the Board for consideration were two (2) separate Contracts for Sale of Personal Property at Public Auction as submitted by Mr. Carl Kaser, Kaser's Auction Service, 68099 Sycamore Road, North Liberty, Indiana. It is noted that the first Contract is in regards to the Police Department's auction of unclaimed bicycles and miscellaneous items that will take place on Saturday, October 9, 1993. The second Contract is for the auction of City vehicles that will take place on Saturday, October 18, 1993. It is noted that in each case, Kaser's Auction Service will receive an eight per cent (8%) commission. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that these Contracts be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE - 1627 �trcr�t' — Ki'.r"r;KKtS'1J In a letter to the Board, Ms. Donna Burton, 1627 Franklin, South Bend, Indiana, advised that she, her husband and her son are disabled and would like the parking space in front of their residence designated as a handicapped parking space. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to the appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. REQUEST OF SAINT JOSEPH'S MEDICAL CENTER TO CONDUCT 13TH ANNUAL SPORTSMED 10K, 10K WHEELCHAIR RACE, 5K, 1 MILE FUN RUN AND 4K WALK OCTOBER 3, 1993 - REFERRED Mr. Michael Holmes, Sportsmed Administrator and Ms. Nancy Dressen, Race Director, Saint Joseph's Medical Center, c/o Pro Health, 320 South St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 13th Annual Sportsmed 10K Race, 10K Wheelchair race, 5K Race, 1 Mile Fun Run and 4K Walk on Sunday, October 3, 1993, with the first race beginning at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Holmes and Ms. Dressen submitted the various routes for these events with their request. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this request be referred to the necessary City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
