3 6 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 23, 1993 <br />land acquisition for this project. Mrs. Mueller made a motion <br />that this recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Ms. Megan Wright, Pretreatment <br />Coordinator, Division of Environmental Services, submitted the <br />following Wastewater Discharge Permits and recommended approval: <br />1. I/N Tek - I/N Kote <br />30755 Edison Road <br />New Carlisle, Indiana 46552 <br />2. Steel Warehouse Company, Inc. <br />2722 West Tucker Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana 46624 <br />Ms. Wright noted that these are existing permits which are being <br />revised. Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller noted that <br />these permits were amended pursuant to the recommendation of the <br />EPA and the IDEM. <br />Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Permits be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller <br />and carried, the following requests were referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation: <br />- OF TEMPLE BETH-EL TO ALLOW PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF WEST <br />MADISON STREET AND LAFAYETTE BOULEVARD, IN CONJUNCTION WITH HOLY <br />DAY SERVICES - SEPTEMBER 15-16, 1993 AND SEPTEMBER 24-25, 1993 <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Ann Harman, President, Temple <br />Beth -El, 305 West Madison Street, South Bend, Indiana, advised <br />that they would request that parking be allowed on both sides of <br />the Temple block on West Madison Street and North Lafayette <br />Boulevard for Holy Day Services as follows: <br />Wednesday <br />September <br />15 <br />8:15 p.m. <br />Thursday <br />September <br />16 <br />9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. <br />Friday <br />September <br />24 <br />8:15 p.m. <br />Saturday <br />September <br />25 <br />9:00 a.m. <br />- OF THE 1993 AMERICAN <br />Mr. R. Kent Alderton, 1729 East Colfax Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana, on behalf of the 1993 American Heart Association Walk <br />Committee, requested permission to conduct a Walk on Saturday, <br />September 25, 1993, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mr. Alderton <br />submitted a route with his request. <br />PETITION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING <br />ZONE - 812 ALMOND COURT TO 824 ALMOND COURT - REFERRED <br />Ms. Kathleen J. Collins, 812 Almond Court, South Bend, Indiana, <br />submitted to the Board a Petition for the Establishment of a <br />Restricted Residential Parking Zone from 812 Almond Court to 824 <br />Almond Court. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this Petition be <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting in order that they <br />may conduct the appropriate traffic study.
