1'"6' <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 17, 1993 <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST NIS ALLEY EAST OF SOUTH <br />EMERSON AVENUE <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to <br />the Board a Vacation Petition as completed by William and Mary <br />Nash, 1316 Chester Street, and Duane & Kathleen Kurek, 1320 <br />Chester Street, to vacate the following alley: <br />The first north/south alley east of South <br />Emerson Avenue from the south right-of-way <br />line of E. Chester to the north right-of-way <br />of the first east/west alley south of E. <br />Chester Street, for a distance of <br />approximately 133 feet and a width of <br />approximately 14 feet; Part located in <br />Sunnymede Third Addition to the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. <br />Mr. Caldwell further indicated that the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from <br />the Division of Sanitation, Police Department, Area Plan <br />Commission, Division of Engineering, Department of Economic <br />Development, Legal Department and Fire Department. Therefore, Mr. <br />Caldwell made a motion that the Board send a favorable <br />recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation <br />Petition. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST N/S ALLEY WEST OF SOUTH <br />OLIVE STREET <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Common Council has submitted to the <br />Board a Vacation Petition as completed by the following: <br />Martin Blad 58995 Mayflower Road <br />Cass Weis 1618 West Ewing <br />Bill Strantz 1818 South Olive <br />Charlotte Skwait 1805 South Olive <br />Vincent Nowaczynski 2413 West Calvert <br />Frank Deguch 1815 South Olive Street <br />with James W. and Lori K. Gesto, 516 Miami Club Court, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana, as Contact Persons, to vacate the following alley: <br />The first north/south alley west of S. Olive <br />Street, from the north right-of-way line of <br />West Calvert, to the south right-of-way line <br />of West Dubail, for a distance of <br />approximately 600 feet and a width of 14 feet. <br />Part located in Olive Place Addition to the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that the Board is in receipt of favorable <br />recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Legal <br />Department, Division of Engineering, Department of Economic <br />Development, Police Department, Division of Sanitation, Area Plan <br />Commission and Fire Department. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a <br />motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the <br />Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition.
