REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 26, 1993 <br />and south of Bartlett Street. A distance of <br />approximately 165 feet; <br />AND <br />The 1st north/south alley east of Lafayette <br />Boulevard from the south right-of-way line of <br />Bartlett Street to the south boundary of Lot 19 as <br />shown on the recorded plat of Reynold's Addition to <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, which is also the <br />south end of that alley which is vacated south to <br />Navarre Street. A distance of approximately 239 <br />feet. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable <br />recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Legal <br />Department, Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire <br />Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic Development and the <br />Department of Public Works. <br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller noted that in the title <br />of the ordinance, the legal description of the alleys to be <br />vacated is incorrect. However, the legal description of the <br />alleys contained in the body of the ordinance is correct. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Board send a <br />favorable recommendation to the Common Council concerning this <br />Vacation Petition. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - VACATION OF 1ST E/W ALLEY N. OF EAST <br />PLEASANT STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a Vacation <br />Petition from the Common Council. It is noted that the Vacation <br />Petition is signed by Mr. Mark Banfy, 1101 South 31st Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana and Mr. David C. Knight, 1023 South 31st <br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, to vacate the following alley: <br />The first east/west alley north of E. Pleasant <br />Street, from the west right-of-way line of S. <br />Thirty -First Street to the east right-of-way <br />line of the first north/south alley west of S. <br />Thirty -First Street, for a distance of <br />approximately 165 feet and a width of <br />approximately 14 feet. Part located in <br />Eggelestons First Addition in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that the Board is in receipt of <br />favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from <br />the Legal Department, Area Plan Commission, Police Department, <br />Division of Engineering, Fire Department, Sanitation Department <br />and the Department of Economic Development. <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Board send a favorable <br />recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation <br />Petition.
