Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 19-1993 - RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF SCRAP METAL DEALERS LICENSES FOR 1993 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the appropriate Resolution has been prepared recommending to the Common Council that the license applications of sixteen (16) scrap metal dealers be approved. Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried and the following Resolution No. 19-1993 was adopted: BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS RESOLUTION NO. 19-1993 WHEREAS, scrap metal/junk dealers/transfer stations license renewal applications for the year 1993 have been received by the Board of Public Works; and WHEREAS, inspections of the properties have been completed by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau as required by Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau have found that such premises are fit and proper for the maintenance and operation of such businesses; and WHEREAS, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 4-51 of the Municipal Code requires adoption of a Resolution of the Board of Public Works recommending the renewal of the license applications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the license renewal applications for the following be recommended favorably based upon the satisfactory review of the properties by the Department of Code Enforcement and the Fire Prevention Bureau: A-1 Auto Parts 2014 S. Walnut St. South Bend Iron & Metal Company 429 W. Indiana Ave. South Bend Scrap & Processing Division 3114 S. Gertrude St. South Bend Scrap & Processing Division 1305 Prairie Avenue South Bend Waste Paper Company 1519 S. Franklin St. Steve & Gene's Auto Truck Salvage 3109 S. Gertrude St. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be submitted to the Common Council for its consideration and adoption of an appropriate Resolution.
