030 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1993 <br />the request be approved subject to favorable recommendations <br />being received from the Police Department and the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for each location when it becomes known. <br />Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS- SECONDHAND DEALERS <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following three (3) secondhand <br />dealers license applications have been received: <br />NAME: CASEY'S FURNITURE MART <br />BY: Frances J. Billings <br />ADDRESS: 520 Western Avenue <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Used furniture <br />NAME: WESTERN ELECTRONICS/ <br />OZARK TRADING POST <br />BY: Vendel Vegh <br />ADDRESS: 1530 Western Avenue <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: New and used merchandise <br />NAME: RED'S PAWN SHOP <br />BY: Stephen A. Krupnik <br />ADDRESS: 1072 Lincolnway East <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Unredeemed pledges <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above <br />license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of licenses. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following six (6) Rubbish and <br />Garbage license applications have been received: <br />1. Eddie Lee Ivory <br />1302 West Linden Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />2. Willie J. Alsanders, Sr. <br />3719 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />(Note: Vehicle will be parked and stored at <br />56201 Butternut Road, South Bend, Indiana) <br />3. Superior Waste Systems <br />20645 West Ireland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />4. R. L. Rubbish Removal (Robert Lacy) <br />1733 North College Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />(Note: Vehicle to be parked and stored on Butternut Rd.) <br />5. Leroy Gorden <br />218 North Sadie Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />
