Love) <br />309 South Iowa Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />It was noted <br />that inspections of the trucks to <br />be used have been <br />conducted by <br />the Solid Waste Bureau and all applicants <br />were found <br />to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above <br />Leszczynski, <br />license <br />applications <br />were approved and referred to the <br />Deputy <br />Controller's <br />office for issuance of licenses. <br />DENY RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICES LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of a Rubbish <br />and Garbage Removal Service license application as submitted by <br />Mr. Robert Lacy, 1042 North Brookfield, South Bead, Indiana. <br />This license application has been reviewed by the Department of <br />Code Enforcement and they recommend denial of the license due to <br />the fact that Mr. Lacy leaves the truck full of trash and debris <br />parked in front of his house. The license application completed <br />by Mr. Lacy states that he will park and store his vehicle on <br />Butternut Road. <br />Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation <br />be accepted and the license application be denied. Mr. Caldwell <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTORS BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Division of Engineering, recommended that <br />the following Bond of Contractor be released as follows: <br />1. Red & White Sweeping, Inc. Release Eff. 5-29-93 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted <br />and the bond be released. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />1. Petroleum Equipment, Inc. <br />and Liquid Systems, Inc. <br />12875 McKinley Highway <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />2. Rieth-Riley Construction Company, Inc. <br />P.O. Box 477 <br />Goshen, Indiana <br />FILING ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted two (2) lists containing fifty-nine (59) City owned <br />and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned by the Department <br />from January 18, 1993 to January 21, 1993. Mr. Leszczynski made <br />a motion that the lists as submitted be accepted for filing. <br />Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin C. Horton, City Controller, submitted to the Board <br />claims in the amount of $3,218,323.80 and recommended approval. <br />Additionally, Mr. Juan A. Manigault, Executive Director, WDS of <br />
