<br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the amendment as recommended be
<br />approved. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - FORD AND DUNDEE STREETS MANHOLE
<br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that in accordance with the Quotation
<br />awarded on January 25, 1993, to HRP Construction, P.O. Box 266,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $17,860.00 for the above
<br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being
<br />submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, the Contract was
<br />approved and executed.

<br />RENOVATION PROJECT (WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT)
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Gibson -Lewis, Inc., 1001 West 11th
<br />Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. 2
<br />indicating that the Contract amount be increased by $4,390.00 for
<br />a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of
<br />$461,039.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mr.. Caldwell and carried, Change Order No. 2 was approved and
<br />executed.
<br />REQUEST OF MARCH OF DIMES BIRTH DEFECTS FOUNDATION TO CONDUCT
<br />ANNUAL WALK AMERICA - APRIL 24, 1993 - REFERRED
<br />Ms. Diana M. Dolde, March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation,
<br />Northern Indiana Chapter, 501 East Monroe, Suite 110, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, requested permission to conduct the 23rd Annual March of
<br />Dimes WalkAmerica on Saturday, April 24, 1993, utilizing the
<br />route submitted with the request. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion
<br />that the request be referred to the appropriate City departments
<br />and bureaus for review and recommendation. Mrs. Mueller seconded
<br />the motion which carried.
<br />REQUEST TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY AT 1316 LISTON STREET -
<br />REFERRED
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Ruth DeFreese, 30632 North Shore
<br />Drive, Elkhart, Indiana, advised that she was interested in
<br />purchasing the City -owned lot at 1316 Liston Street. Mr.
<br />Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the
<br />appropriate City departments and bureaus to determine whether or
<br />not the City wishes to retain or sell this property. Mrs.
<br />Mueller seconded the motion which carried.

<br />AL HOSPITAL TO OCCUPY PUBLIC
<br />Ms. Mikki Dobski, Office of the Mayor, requested permission, on
<br />behalf of Memorial Hospital, to do a variety of location filming
<br />during the period February 6-13, 1993 in the general South Bend
<br />area. It was noted that Memorial Hospital will be producing
<br />commercials.
<br />Board Attorney and Member Mary H. Mueller informed members of the
<br />Board that Stripes, a Division of The Partners' Film Company
<br />Limited, 508 Church Street, Toronto, Ontario, has submitted to
<br />the Board a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of
<br />$5,000,000.00 naming the City of South Bend as an additional
<br />insured for this period of time. Mrs. Mueller made a motion that
