029 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 25, 1993 <br />10, 1991 with Slovik, Mathre, Sathrum Quanbeck Schlink Edwins <br />Architects (SMSQ, Inc.) in regards to the Morris Civic Auditorium <br />and Palais Royale Restoration project. <br />Addendum II fixes costs for all remaining services and <br />reimbursables under the original contract at a maximum of <br />$651,000.00. <br />Therefore, Mrs. Mueller made a motion that Addendum II be <br />approved and executed. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />In response to questions from Mr. Tom Howell, Radio Station U93, <br />Mrs. Mueller and Mr. Leszczynski advised that this Addendum takes <br />SMSQ through construction document preparation and plans for <br />restoration. Additionally, nothing has been bid on this project <br />to date and fund-raising is continuing. <br />UNITED RELIG <br />26 _ 1 QW1 - <br />TY TO <br />AL <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Rob Ercoline, Chairperson, 1993 <br />CROP Walk Committee, United Religious Community of St. Joseph <br />County, 2015 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requested <br />permission to conduct the annual Walk for world hunger on Sunday, <br />September 26, 1993. The Walk will begin at 2:00 p.m. and <br />conclude at 5:00 p.m. and will utilize the route submitted with <br />the request. Mr. Ercoline noted that the route is identical to <br />the one taken the two (2) previous years. Therefore, Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the request be referred to the <br />appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and <br />recommendation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECONDHAND DEALER <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the following one (1) secondhand <br />dealers license application has been received: <br />NAME: ACT II <br />BY: Mary Fairchild and Susan Stangebye <br />ADDRESS: 2123 Miami Street <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Women's clothing <br />Mr. Leszczynski further advised that favorable recommendations <br />have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire <br />Department on the above application. Upon a motion made by Mrs. <br />Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above license <br />application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />office for issuance of a license. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Division of Engineering, recommended that <br />the Bond for Excavation in Streets for Ronald Gillean, d/b/a <br />Quality Plumbing, be released effective January 25, 1993. Mr. <br />Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and <br />the bond be released. Mrs. Mueller seconded the motion which <br />carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller <br />and carried a Certificate of Insurance for Ideal Consolidated, <br />Inc., 806 West Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, was accepted <br />for filing. <br />
