Oil <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 11, 1993 <br />REVISED TO: STOP SIGN,(2 WAY) <br />LOCATION: Remove the Stops on Elliott <br />and install on Humbolt 11 <br />REMARKS: Humbolt is now closed making <br />Elliott the major street. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the following three (3) Rubbish and <br />Garbage Removal license applications have been received: <br />1. Browning -Ferris Industries of Indiana, Elkhart <br />1750 West Lusher Avenue <br />Elkhart, Indiana <br />John Lindsey <br />209 South Bendix Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />3. Howard's Trash Removal <br />Mr. Joe-E. Howard <br />414 Walsh Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />It was noted that inspections of the trucks to be used have been <br />conducted by the Solid Waste Bureau and all applicants were found <br />to be in compliance. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the -above license <br />applications were approved and referred to the Deputy <br />Controller's office for issuance of licenses. <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended <br />that the Board approve the Bond for Excavation in the Streets for <br />Youngs Excavating, Inc., 50563 Dusty Trail Court, Granger, <br />Indiana, effective January 6, 1993. Mr. Leszczynski made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bond be <br />approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, Certificates of Insurance for the following were <br />accepted for filing: <br />1. Industrial Installations, Inc. <br />55587 Currant Road <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />2. Peerless -Midwest, Inc. <br />P.O. Box 26 <br />Granger, Indiana 46530 <br />FILING OF ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UP OF LOTS REPORTS <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Department of Code Enforcement <br />has submitted two (2) lists containing twenty-four (24) City <br />owned and miscellaneous properties which were cleaned by the <br />Department on December 28, 1992. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion <br />that the lists as submitted be accepted for filing. Mr. Caldwell <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Mr. Kevin C. Horton, City Controller, submitted to the Board <br />claims in the amounts of $229,094.83 and $96,733.77 and <br />recommended approval. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the <br />
