REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 24 1994 <br />APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO 39-1994 - DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE <br />PROPERTY <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that the Board is in receipt of Resolution No. 39-1994, for Disposal of Unfit <br />and/or Obsolete Property. Futher, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment <br />Services, has indicated that a 1977 Furguson Roller, a 1975 Huber Maintainer, and a 1984 Hyster <br />Roller be declared obsolete, and to be used as trade-ins on a new Asphalt Compactor, Model DD90 <br />to be purchased from Industrial Construction Equipment, Co. Additionally, Mr. Dan Weisel, <br />Division of Engineering, has requested the Diazit XL 120 Blueprinter to be declared obsolete, as it <br />will no longer be used by the Department. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. <br />Manier which carried, the following Resolution No. 39-1994 was approved. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 39-1994 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORK <br />ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following property <br />is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the City of South <br />Bend: <br />ONE (1) FURGUS ON ROLLER <br />VIN.#58467 <br />ONE (1) HUBER MAINTAINER MODEL M700 <br />VIN. #CM390 <br />ONE (1) 1984 HYSTER ROLLER <br />VIN. #A91029577 <br />ONE (1) DIAZIT XL120 BLUEPRINTER MODEL 605 SERIAL #143894 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-6(c) permits and establishes procedure for disposal of <br />personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer <br />needed by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend that the items listed above are no longer needed by the City; are unfit for the purpose for which <br />they were intended and have an estimated value of less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public <br />auction or private sale, without advertising.
