<br />ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSAL - IBM AS/400 - TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND UPGRADE
<br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Jeff Rinard, Deputy City Controller, has submitted a Proposal for the
<br />City of South Bend, as submitted by IBM, 215 South St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Indiana, to
<br />provide SYSMIG Services for the City of South Bend's IBM AS/400 system. Mr. Rinard indicated
<br />that the price for performing these services will be $3,800.00. Additionally, the upgrade for the
<br />AS/400 system as submitted was a total sum of $217,822.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Proposal was accepted and approved.
<br />AWARD BID -1994 SEWER LINING PROGRAM - PROJECT NO. 94-76 - INSITUFORM
<br />MIDWEST, INC.
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, recommended that the Board accept the low
<br />bid of Insituform, Midwest, Inc., 11 lth & Archer, Lemont, Illinois, in the amount of $333,597.83
<br />for the above referred to project. It was noted that bids for this project were opened by the Board
<br />on October 17, 1994. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried,
<br />the above bid was awarded.
<br />AWARD BID - HAMILTON STREET SEWER EXTENSION - PROJECT NO. 94-48 - HRP
<br />CONSTRUCTION
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on October 17, 1994,
<br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Littrell recommended that the Board award the contract to HRP Construction, Post Office Box 266,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, the amount of $17,871.00. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
<br />GRANT OF LICENSE - TEACHER'S CREDIT UNION
<br />Mr. Caldwell informed members that Mr. Victor J. Pantea, Executive Vice President, Teacher's
<br />Credit Union, 110 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, has submitted a Grant of License for an
<br />Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), which is identified in the Grant of License, on Portage Avenue.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Grant of License
<br />was approved.
<br />REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
<br />- CENTURY CENTER REMODELING AND REROOFING
<br />- POLICE DEPARTMENT S.W.A.T. TRUCK AND ORDINANCE HANDLING ROBOT
<br />Mr. Caldwell informed members that Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, is
<br />requesting permission to advertise for bids for Century Center Roof Repairs and Remodeling. Mr.
<br />Littrell noted that this project will replace the roofs of Buildings A, B and C, and offer Buildings E
<br />and F as alternates. Further, the project will expand the Century Center convention, conference, and
<br />exhibition areas as well as the space being used by the South Bend Regional Museum of Art. The
<br />plans and specifications have been prepared by Mathews-Purucker-Anella, Inc., and the Century
<br />Center staff, the Engineering Division, and the Legal Department are reviewing the plans and
<br />specifications. Further, Chief Ronald G. Marciniak, has requested permission to receive bids on a
<br />S.W.A.T. truck and an ordinance handling robot. The Legal Department is reviewing the
<br />specifications. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Caldwell and carried, the above
<br />referred to requests to advertise were approved.

<br />Mr. Caldwell informed members that the Board is in receipt of the above referred to requests. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the requests were referred
<br />to the appropriate Bureaus for recommendation.
