AWARD IDS•• - SIX (6)MID SIZE PROGRAM CARS - NIN (9) COMPACT PROGRAM CARS - TWO (2) 3/4 TON EXTENDED CAB PICK-UP TRUCKS - TWO (2) 3/4 TON 4WD PICK-UP WITH PLOW Mr. Matthew L. Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested that the Board award the following bids, which were opened on May 2, 1994. Mr. Chlebowski noted that this award is for nineteen (19) vehicles with a total cost of $214,739.20. SIX (6) MID SIZE PROGRAM CARS Gates Chevrolet Corporation $10,900.00 each 401 South Lafayette Boulevard South Bend, Indiana Total Award: $65,400.00 NINE (9) COMPACT PROGRAM CARS Gates Chevrolet Corporation $ 8,500.00 each 401 South Lafayette Boulevard South Bend, Indiana Total Award: $76,500.00 TWO (12) 3/4 TON EXTENDED CAB PICK-UP TRUCKS Gates Chevrolet Corporation $17,847.04 each 4 1 South Lafayette Boulevard South Bend, Indiana Total Award: $35,694.08 TWO (2) 3/4 TON 4WD PICK-UP WITH Chevrolet Corporation PLOW $18,572.56 each Gates 4 1 South Lafayette Boulevard South Bend, Indiana Total Award: $37,145.12 Mr. Ca dwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bi s be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the mo ion which carried. RELEASE$ BID/AWARD BID - TWO (2) SINGLE AXLE DUMP TRUCKS Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board is in receipt of a letter from Mx. Rich Stopczynski, Whiteford Ford Trucks, 4707 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, requesting that their bid be withdrawn as they have made an error in computing the bid which was submitted to the Board on May 2, 1994. In that regard, Mr. Matthew L. Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested that the Board award the bid of the next low bidder, Wise International, for two (2) single axle dump trucks in the amount of $56,736.50 each for a total award of $113,4 3.00. The trucks will be equipped with a body by Deeds Equipm nt. It is noted that these vehicles will be utilized by the Depart ent of Code Enforcement and the Division of Environmental Servic s. Mr. Ca dwell made a motion that the bid of Whiteford Ford be releas d and withdrawn and the bid of Wise International, as outlin d above, be awarded. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which arried.
