- 220- <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 1994 <br />Division of Equipment Services, requested that the Board advertise <br />for the receipt of bids for one (1) full size cargo van and one <br />(1) front end loader. <br />Additionally, Mr. Jack J. Dillon, Director, Division of <br />Environmental Services, requested that the Board advertise for the <br />receipt of bids for the hauling of biosolids from the Organic <br />Resource Facility to farm land for application according to the <br />City's permit with IDEM. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that these requests be approved. <br />Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED: <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the following requests were referred to the appropriate <br />City departments and bureaus for review and recommendation: <br />- OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY AIDS TASK FORCE TO CONDUCT PROCESSION - <br />JUNE 15, 1994 <br />Mr. Drew Leach, Public Relations, St. Joseph County AIDS Task <br />Force, P.O. Box 344, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the <br />Task Force will be conducting an AIDS Awareness Regional <br />Conference at Century Center on June 16 & 17, 1994. In <br />conjunction with this event, Mr. Leach requested permission to <br />conduct a candlelight procession, beginning at 8:15 p.m., on <br />Wednesday, June 15, 1994, from the City Holiday Tree in front <br />of the Morris Civic Auditorium to Century Center. <br />- FOR DESIGNATED HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE AT 1341 FREMONT <br />Ms. Carrie L. Metz, 1341 Fremont Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested that the parking space in front of her residence be <br />designated as a handicapped parking space. <br />- OF IKE'S SIGNS TO INSTALL SIGN AT 1209 MISHAWAKA AVENUE <br />Mr. Alex S. Isza, Ike's Signs, 15035 Day Road, Mishawaka, <br />Indiana, advised that he would like to install a plastic <br />lighted sign at River Park Photo, 1209 Mishawaka Avenue. Mr. <br />Isza noted that the sign is 3' x 5' double face. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Division of Engineering, recommended <br />that the Board release the Bond for Excavation in the Streets for <br />Earthworks, 13790 Creston Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, effective <br />March 30, 1995. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this <br />recommendation be accepted and the bond be released. Mrs. Manier <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the following two (2) traffic control devices were <br />approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE <br />LOCATION: 1105 West Jefferson <br />REMARKS: Request of Sister Sharon Maurer of <br />Chiara Home, Inc. <br />NEW INSTALLATION: HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE <br />LOCATION: 734 South 36th Street <br />
