<br />property bounded by the Indiana State Police/Toll Road Commission to the west, the Indiana Toll
<br />road to the north, and the east line of the Airport property to the east, commonly known as the
<br />Airport 2010 Economic Development area. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - SOUTH BEND ORGANIC RESOURCES OFFICE UPGRADE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and
<br />Ken Herceg & Associates, 211 West Washington, South Bend, Indiana, for engineering services in
<br />an effort to upgrade the facility at the Organic Resources Building. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the
<br />Proposal is in the amount of $4,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF ESCROW AGREEMENT - WATER WORKS FIELD COATING - PROJECT
<br />NO. 94-94
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend
<br />and Icarus Industrial Painting and Contracting Company, Inc., Post Office Box 5177, Lake Station,
<br />Indiana, for the above referred to project. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Contract for this project
<br />was signed on May 1, 1995, in the amount of $240,932.50, and an Escrow Agreement is required
<br />as the Construction Contract is in excess of $100,000.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs.
<br />Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - LANDSCAPE DESIGN AT
<br />SOUTH BEND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - SITESCAPES. INC.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend
<br />and SiteScapes Inc., 1816 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, for professional services to the
<br />Division of Environmental Services for the landscape design at the South Bend Wastewater
<br />Treatment Plant. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $1,200.00.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM -
<br />TEMPORARY FENCE - PROJECT NO. 95-46
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on May 8, 1995, to Schuell Fence,
<br />22377 Adams Road, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $7,300.00 for the above referred to
<br />project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Contract was approved and the
<br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as
<br />submitted were filed.
<br />APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM NO. 7 - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME -
<br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - GERARD HILFERTY AND ASSOCIATES, INC.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of Addendum No. 7 for Professional Services for
<br />the College Football Hall of Fame, as submitted by Mr. Andres Merriell, Senior Associate, Gerard
<br />Hilferty 14240 Route 550, Athens, Ohio. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Addendum is for an
<br />increase of $37,912.00 for the additional services to the Exhibit Elements for the College Football
<br />Hall of Fame, approved by the Design Committee, April 19, 1995; Exhibit Content Acquisition and
<br />Authentication; the 1994 Inductee class; and the 1995 Inductee class, as submitted. Therefore, upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Addendum was
<br />approved and executed.
<br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - CENTURY CENTER ROOF REPAIRS - MIDLAND
<br />ENGINEERING - PROJECT NO. 94-85
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Joseph Mathews, Mathews-Purucker-Anella, Inc., 218 South
<br />Frances Street, South Bend, Indiana, has submitted Change Order No. R-2 on behalf of Midland
<br />Engineering Company, 52369 U.S. 33 North, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract
<br />amount be increased $4,300.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount
<br />of $692,395.00. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried,
<br />the Change Order was approved.
