REGULAR MEETING APRIL 3. 1995 - CRIME STOPPERS MOONLIGHT WALK Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, Legal Department, Division of Engineering and the Park Department, in reference to the request to conduct the Annual Crime Stoppers Moonlight Walk, on Sunday, June 11, 1995, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LICENSE APPLICATION Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following recommendations for License Applications were approved: - SECONDHAND STORE Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department, in reference to the License Application for a Secondhand Store, for Ozark Trading Post/Western Electric, 1530 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITIES Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department and Code Enforcement, for License Application for Public Parking Facility, as submitted by Ampco System Parking, at 123 North St. Joseph Street and 119 West Wayne Street. - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by Code Enforcement for the following License Applications for Rubbish & Garbage Removal Service. Additionally, it is noted that inspections of the trucks to be used have been conducted by the Bureau of Solid Waste and the applicants were found to be in compliance. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS - _ETHNIC FESTIVAL ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM - PROJECT NO. 94-87 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, P.E., Director, Division of Engineering, submitted a request to reject bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that the one (1) bid exceeds the budget and estimate for the work. The Department of Community Affairs concurs in the recommendation that this bid be rejected. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request was approved.
