,5? <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 3. 1995 <br />- CRIME STOPPERS MOONLIGHT WALK <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police Department, <br />Legal Department, Division of Engineering and the Park Department, in reference to the request to <br />conduct the Annual Crime Stoppers Moonlight Walk, on Sunday, June 11, 1995, from 6:30 p.m. <br />until 8:30 p.m. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LICENSE APPLICATION <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following <br />recommendations for License Applications were approved: <br />- SECONDHAND STORE <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department, in reference to the License <br />Application for a Secondhand Store, for Ozark Trading Post/Western Electric, 1530 Western <br />Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. <br />- PUBLIC PARKING FACILITIES <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by the Fire Department and <br />Code Enforcement, for License Application for Public Parking Facility, as submitted by Ampco <br />System Parking, at 123 North St. Joseph Street and 119 West Wayne Street. <br />- RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that favorable recommendations have been received by Code Enforcement for <br />the following License Applications for Rubbish & Garbage Removal Service. Additionally, it is <br />noted that inspections of the trucks to be used have been conducted by the Bureau of Solid Waste <br />and the applicants were found to be in compliance. <br />Superior Waste Systems <br />20645 West Ireland Road <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Carter Buchanon <br />121 North Wellington <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Oscar Moody <br />5227 Linden Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bureau of Solid Waste <br />City of South Bend <br />3113 Riverside Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dead or Alive Towing <br />1532 Miami Street <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Clarks Trash Removal <br />2615 Kenwood Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to <br />License Applications were approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO REJECT BIDS - _ETHNIC FESTIVAL ELECTRICAL <br />DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM - PROJECT NO. 94-87 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, P.E., Director, Division of Engineering, <br />submitted a request to reject bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that the one <br />(1) bid exceeds the budget and estimate for the work. The Department of Community Affairs <br />concurs in the recommendation that this bid be rejected. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request was approved. <br />
