REGULAR MEETING MARCH 6, 1995 <br />- SOUTH BEND DAM AND CANOE PORTAGE AND PARK REPAIRS - PROJECT NO. 94-67 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. It is to be noted that <br />this is a rebid for this project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Caldwell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />- ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM - ETHNIC FESTIVAL <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment, on behalf of the <br />Department of Community Affairs. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will solicit bids from <br />licensed electrical contractors to provide goods and services for portable electrical control and <br />distribution equipment for use at the Ethnic Festival and other events. Additionally, the equipment <br />would become the property of the Department of Community Affairs, and would also provide for <br />that contractor to install, operate, and remove that system to storage for the 1995 Ethnic Festival. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the plans and specifications are being prepared by the Engineering Division <br />and the Legal Department is reviewing them. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />- COMPUTERS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested permission <br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Mr. Littrell stated that this <br />project is being rebid, as the South Bend Tribune informed the Board of Public Works that legal <br />notices scheduled for publication would not appear in the newspaper. Because of rigid statutory <br />requirements for periods between advertisement and bidding dates, new advertising dates and <br />bidding dates must be scheduled for this equipment. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids <br />was approved. <br />CHLORINE/SULFUR DIOXIDE- WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested permission <br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to items. Mr. Littrell stated that these items <br />are being rebid, as the South Bend Tribune informed the Board of Public Works that legal notices <br />scheduled for publication would not appear in the newspaper. Mr. Littrell stated that this <br />project is being rebid, as the South Bend Tribune informed the Board of Public Works that legal <br />notices scheduled for publication would not appear in the newspaper.
