<br />so that a bidder may bid one, several, or all zones. The actual amount of work to be done by the
<br />Contractors(s) will depend upon the Division of Engineering coming to an agreement with the
<br />individual homeowners on the amount of work at each location.
<br />- CHLORINE/SULFUR DIOXIDE - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
<br />Mr. Robert E. Toppel. Process Specialist, Division of Environmental Services, requested permission
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to chemicals. Mr. Toppel stated that these
<br />bids will be used for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
<br />-COMPUTERS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Kevin Horton, City Controller, requested permission to
<br />advertise for the receipt to bids for the above referred to equipment. Further, this will be a rebid for
<br />those items not accepted from bids opened on February 13, 1995.
<br />-SOUTHEAST REDEVELOPMENT AREA SITE CLEARANCE, PHASE I, STRUCTURAL
<br />PACKAGE 3 - PROJECT NO. 95-15
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated
<br />that this project will demolish four commercial structures from the proposed site of the new
<br />Parkview Juvenile Center, and plans and specifications are being prepared by the Engineering
<br />Division for review by the Legal Department.
<br />IRRIGATION SYSTEMS - ELBEL STUDEBAKER AND ERSKINE GOLF COURSES -
<br />PROJECT NO. 95-16
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated
<br />that this project will install new irrigation systems at Elbel Golf Course and Studebaker Golf Course
<br />and will also upgrade the Erskine Golf Course irrigation system.
<br />REQUESTS REFERRED:
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following
<br />requests were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for review and recommendation:
<br />-"RUN,JANE,RUN" - YWCA
<br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Kit Banta, YWCA of St. Joseph County, requested permission to hold
<br />their 1 lth annual "run, jane, run", which includes a 1 mile fun run, 5K women's run, 5K mile walk,
<br />and a 5K incline skating event, to be held on August 19, 1995.
<br />-"TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE"
<br />In a letter to the Board, W. Martin Moorman, Chairman, St. Joe Valley Knights of Columbus,
<br />requested permission to hold their annual "Tootsie Roll Drive" on Friday, May 5th and May 12th,
<br />and Saturday, May 6th and 13th, which will consist of the solicitation of tootsie rolls by members
<br />or families of the Knights of Columbus in front of businesses which have granted permission.
<br />APPROVAL OF TRIPLE TRAILER COMBINATION PERMIT - YELLOW FREIGHT SYSTEM,
<br />INC.
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that Mr. Art Gapinski, Yellow Freight System, Inc., 215 South Olive Street,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, has submitted a permit for Triple Trailer Combination, and requested
<br />approval. Further, this special permit allows travel to and from the Indiana Toll Road by Yellow
<br />Freight System, Inc., by a designated route. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by
<br />Mrs. Manier and carried, the permit was approved.
<br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following three
