REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 3, 1995 <br />AWARD BID - ONE (1) OR MORE ORDINANCE HANDLING ROBOTIC VEHICLE <br />Chief Ronald G. Marciniak, Chief of Police, advised the Board that on November 21, 1994, bids <br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Chief <br />Marciniak recommends that the Board award the contract to HDE/Falcon Robots, Inc., 2733 <br />Whitmore Street, Ft. Worth, Texas, in the amount of $36,840.00, as outlined below. <br />Radio Control System, FCC Type Accepted $14,500.00 <br />Options: <br />#1 Full color video camera (to replace black and white camera): <br />$ 685.00 <br />Full color television receiver, battery, 110 volt and do volt powered: <br />$ 600.00 <br />#2 Radio controlled zoom lens assembly with hardware to <br />allow for operation of pan and tilt (replacement for fixed focal <br />length lens): $ 1,800.00 <br />#3 <br />Radio controlled elevator for zoom lens camera system <br />$ <br />300.00 <br />#4 <br />Optional wheel or track sets for robot: <br />$ <br />280.00 <br />#5 <br />Spare battery assembly, for robot: <br />$ <br />75.00 <br />#6 <br />#7 <br />Spare batteries for console: <br />X-ray mount assembly (fits new Golden X-Ray): <br />$ <br />$ <br />25.00 <br />800.00 <br />#8 <br />Wheeled cart for transporting heavy objects: <br />$ <br />380.00 <br />99 <br />Shotgun mount assembly, radio controlled: <br />$1,400.00 <br />#10 <br />Laser aiming device for shotgun: <br />Included <br />#11 Remote controlled 12 gauge disrupter and mounting <br />assembly: $1,250.00 <br />#12 Laser aiming system for disrupter: $ 245.00 <br />#13 Hardware cable is included with initial system: Included <br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be <br />awarded as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO ACOUIRE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 1113 <br />BURNS STREET <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable of recommendations from the <br />Department of Public Works, Code Enforcement, Community and Economic Development and the <br />Park Department, concerning the acquisition of City -Owned property at 113 Burns Street, as <br />requested by Mr. Joshua Briggs, Project Coordinator, Notre Dame Indiana. Further, Mr. Briggs <br />noted that the Notre Dame Chapter of Habitat for Humanity has requested the acquisition of this <br />property to build on. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier <br />and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />
