REGULAR MEETING HI SPEED AUTO WASH 609 East LaSalle and 2615 Lincolnway West South Bend, Indiana Full Service Car Wash, 0-100 units per month $ 7.25 each Full Service Car Wash, 100 or more units per month $ 6.75 each TOWN & COUNTRY AMOCO 3627 East McKinley South Bend, Indiana 46615 Wet Wash Only, 1-100 units per month $1.99 each Wet Wash Only, 100 or more units per month $1.99 each AUGUST 12, 1996 Chief Gunn noted that the bids are awarded for a two (2) year period, as outlined in the specifications, and the source of funding will be the Police Department General Fund. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT The following Community Development Contract was presented to the Board for approval: Redevelopment $470,357.00 Construction of Elder Parkway Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Contract was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF UTILITY AGREEMENT - TCI - ELDER PARKWAY - PROJECT NO. 95-65 Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and TCI of Michiana, 2351 Miracle Lane, Mishawaka, Indiana, for the utilities which are located within the projects limits of the above referred to project, to be granted a permit to be located within the highway right-of-way in accordance with the submitted drawings. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF GRANT AGREEMENT - NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH GRANT PROGRAM - BROADWAY CHRISTIAN PARISH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and the Broadway Christian Parish United Methodist Church, South Bend, Indiana, for the provision of funding to the youth of the Southeast Neighborhood to conduct a series of special events including a basketball camp, soccer clinic, neighborhood clean-up project, and a carpentry mentorship. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $1,995.27. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT - SOUTH BEND DAM. CANOE PORTAGE, AND ISLAND PARK REPAIRS - PROJECT NO. 94-67 Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Lawson -Fisher Associates, 525 West Washington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct a hydrographic survey and condition survey of the dam and surrounding downstream structures, as well as the river bottom in the stilling area. Sufficient funds are available in the appropriation for the original work to cover the cost of this Amendment to the Agreement. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Amendment to the Agreement is in the amount of $24,400.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Amendment to the Agreement was approved and executed.
