<br />REGULAR MEETING JULY 15. 1996
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION -TO CLOSE STREET - RUMMAGE SALE/CAR WASH
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Leonard Brown, Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 1107 West Western, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to rummage sale and car wash, on Saturday, August 3, 1996,
<br />from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on McPherson Street from Western to Napier Therefore, upon a
<br />. motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ST. STEPHEN'S PARISH
<br />FESTIVAL
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Benito Salazar, St. Stephen's Parish, 1102 West Thomas Street, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to Parish Festival, on Sunday, August 4, 1996, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00
<br />p.m., on McPherson Street, from Thomas to Napier Streets. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Jeanette Clifford, 722 Cottage Grove, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Sunday, July 21, 1996, on Cottage Grove from Lindsay to Van Buren. Therefore,
<br />upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT OUTDOOR SINGING SERVICE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. James Hopson, 11753 South Laflin, Chicago Illinois to conduct the
<br />above referred to outdoor singing service, on Saturday, July 27, 1996, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00
<br />p.m., on Main and Jefferson, at the side of the Transpo Boarding area. Therefore, upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved, subject to the approval of Transpo.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CHANGE TRAFFIC PATTERNS - 4H FAIR
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Frank Rochetti, 4-H Fair, South Bend, Indiana to make traffic pattern
<br />changes on Ironwood and Jackson Road, in conjunction with the 4H Fair, to be held from July 29,
<br />1996, through August 3,1996, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., on the designated streets as submitted.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Building Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference
<br />to a request as submitted by Mr. Brad Dennis, Ziolkowski Construction, 1005 South Lafayette,
<br />South Bend, Indiana to park a sixteen (16) foot utility trailer on the south side of the First Bank
<br />building, to store construction equipment during masonry restoration on the First Bank Building for
<br />approximately four (4) to five (5) months. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved, subject to the
<br />procurement of an Occupancy Permit.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of twenty-two (22) Consents to Annexation and
<br />Waiver of Rights to Remonstrate for the following owners of property in St. Joseph County, for
<br />water service for the Dollar Lake area.
