It was noted that the required Proof of Insurance as well as the hours and rates <br />to be charged was attached to the applications. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATIONS - RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />SERVICE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Department <br />of Code Enforcement for a License Application for Rubbish and Garbage Removal, for the <br />following: <br />Clark's Trash Removal Tommy Swinson <br />2615 Kenwood Avenue 615 Wenger <br />South Bend, Indiana South Bend, Indiana <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected and approved the vehicles to be used <br />in conjunction with the businesses. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier <br />and carried, the License Applications were approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT WALK FOR HOSPICE TO <br />CONDUCT MARCH <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above <br />referred to request which was submitted to the Board on February 12, 1996, and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and <br />the request be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - <br />INSTALLATION OF FENCING - U.S. FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY COURT <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Division <br />of Engineering, Police Department, City Attorney's Office, Building Commissioner and the <br />Redevelopment Design Review Committee for the installation of fencing on the south side of <br />Western Avenue, and occupancy of the triangular public plaza at the corner of Michigan and <br />Western. Further, it is to be noted that the proper Certificate of Insurance has been submitted, along <br />with an Application for and Permit Allowing Temporary Occupancy of Public Property. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE NILES AVENUE - OLYMPIC TRIALS <br />QUALIFIER AND MID AMERICAN SLALOM <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the appropriate City departments and bureaus have reviewed the above <br />referred to request which was submitted to the Board on February 12, 1996 and approval is <br />recommended. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and <br />the request be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS - SALE OF ABANDONED <br />VEHICLES <br />Mrs. Kathy Dempsey, Director, Department of Code Enforcement, requested permission to advertise <br />for the sale of approximately eleven (11) abandoned vehicles, which are being stored at Super Auto <br />Salvage Corporation, 3300 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana.
