HI <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 26, 1996 <br />The second east -west alley south of East Wayne Street from the east right-of-way line of <br />South Saint Peter Street to the west right-of-way line of South Notre Dame Avenue for a <br />distance of approximately 344 feet and a width of 14 feet; and the first north -south alley east <br />of South Saint Peter Street from the south line of the first east -west alley south of East <br />Wayne Street to the north line of the second east -west alley south of East Wayne for a <br />distance of approximately 66 feet and a width of 14 feet. Part situated in Cottrell's First <br />Addition to the City of South Bend, Saint Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works, subject to all utilities <br />and easements. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the Board send a favorable <br />recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition. Mr. Caldwell seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by R. Crews Perkey,16240 Candlewycke Court, Granger, Indiana to vacate the following <br />alley: <br />The alley to be vacated is described as the first north -south alley west of North Main Street <br />from the north right-of-way line of the first east -west alley south of West Madison Street to <br />the south right-of-way line of West Madison for a distance of approximately 198 feet and a <br />width of approximately 14 feet. Part situated in Original Town of South Bend, Saint Joseph <br />County, Indiana. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works, subject to all utilities <br />and easements. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the Board send a favorable <br />recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition. Mr. Caldwell seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by Ms. Ann Kolata, 1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the <br />following alley: <br />Ohio Street from Fellows Street to Marietta Street and Rush Street from Keasey Street to the <br />Penn Central Railroad and certain north\south and east\west alleys situated between Fellows <br />Street and Marietta Street, and Sample Street and Keasey Street. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works, subject to all utilities <br />and easements. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the Board send a favorable <br />recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition. Mr. Caldwell seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - PUBLIC PARKING FACILITY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following license <br />applications were approved: <br />Amoco System Parking <br />123 North St. Joseph Street <br />119 West Wayne Street <br />220 East Wayne Street <br />Memorial Home Care <br />621 Memorial Drive <br />707 North Michigan Street <br />1 <br />
