REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 26. 1996 APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - NORTH PUMPING STATION MASONRY RESTORATION - PROJECT NO.96-12 Mr. Caldwell advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on February 19, 1996, to Ziolkowski Construction, 1105 South Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $65,929.43 for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION SERVICE - MADISON CENTER Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Madison Center, Inc., 403 East Madison Street, South Bend, Indiana, for consulting and education service for the City of South Bend employees. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $87,000.00, and the term of this Agreement is from January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1998. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS The following Community Development Contracts were presented to the Board for approval: Business Development Corporation $89,000.00 Staff Support Housing Development Corporation $56,612.55 Staff Support Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above referred to Contracts were approved and executed. AWARD BID - CONTROL. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM - PHASE II - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - PROJECT NO. 95-55 Mr. Roberto Flores, Division of Environmental Services, advised the Board that on February 19, 1996, bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Flores recommends that the Board award the contract to Precision Control Systems, Inc., 7141 West Morris Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, in the amount of $496,250.00. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 13-1996 - DISPOSAL OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 13-1996 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY WHEREAS, the following described property has been determined by the Board of Public Works to be unfit for the purpose for which it was intended, and no longer needed by the City of South Bend: ONE (1) 1995 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE DEPARTMENT MECHANICAL # 3024 VIN. #2FALP71 W7SX164103 WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-60 provides for the disposal at private or public sale or transfer of personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer needed by the City; and
