REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 26. 1996 <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - NORTH PUMPING STATION MASONRY <br />RESTORATION - PROJECT NO.96-12 <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on February 19, 1996, to Ziolkowski <br />Construction, 1105 South Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $65,929.43 for the above <br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a <br />motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Contract was approved and <br />the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond <br />as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION SERVICE - MADISON <br />CENTER <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />Madison Center, Inc., 403 East Madison Street, South Bend, Indiana, for consulting and education <br />service for the City of South Bend employees. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the <br />amount of $87,000.00, and the term of this Agreement is from January 1, 1996 through December <br />31, 1998. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, <br />the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS <br />The following Community Development Contracts were presented to the Board for approval: <br />Business Development Corporation $89,000.00 Staff Support <br />Housing Development Corporation $56,612.55 Staff Support <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above referred to <br />Contracts were approved and executed. <br />AWARD BID - CONTROL. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM - PHASE <br />II - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - PROJECT NO. 95-55 <br />Mr. Roberto Flores, Division of Environmental Services, advised the Board that on February 19, <br />1996, bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, <br />Mr. Flores recommends that the Board award the contract to Precision Control Systems, Inc., 7141 <br />West Morris Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, in the amount of $496,250.00. Therefore, Mrs. Manier <br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. <br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 13-1996 - DISPOSAL OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13-1996 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, the following described property has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works to be unfit for the purpose for which it was intended, and no longer needed by the City of <br />South Bend: <br />ONE (1) 1995 FORD CROWN VICTORIA <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT MECHANICAL # 3024 <br />VIN. #2FALP71 W7SX164103 <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-60 provides for the disposal at private or public sale or <br />transfer of personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is <br />no longer needed by the City; and <br />
