457 <br />REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 3, 1997 <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD CURB <br />SIDEWALK AND APPROACH REPAIRS - PROJECT NO 97-41 <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Project <br />Completion Affidavit on behalf of Batteast Construction Co., Inc., 430 East LaSalle, South Bend, <br />Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $55,364.40. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - 1997 GOOD NEIGHBORS/GOOD <br />NEIGHBORHOODS PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM - ZONES 11C AND 11D - PROJECT NO. <br />97-19 <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manger„ has submitted the Project <br />Completion Affidavit on behalf of Rieth Riley Construction, Post Office Box 1775, South Bend, <br />Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $104,857.73. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - 1997 GOOD NEIGHBORS/GOOD <br />NEIGHBORHOODS PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM - ZONES 6,7 AND 8 - PROJECT NO. 97-19 <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Project <br />Completion Affidavit on behalf of Kaser Spraker Construction, 25487 West State Road 2, South <br />Bend, Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $33,335.60. Upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was <br />approved. <br />CERTIFICATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION - LEIGHTON PLAZA - PROJECT NO. 97- <br />57-1 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Certificate of <br />Substantial Completion for the above referred to project was approved. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT <br />The following Community Development Contract was presented to the Board for approval: <br />Code Enforcement $40,000 Demolition of structure(s) in the 500 block of South <br />Michigan <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above referred to <br />Contract was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - MIAMI ROAD <br />SEWER EXTENSION - PROJECT NO. 97-92 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director of Engineering, requested permission <br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this <br />project will provide sewer service to properties on Miami Road between Johnson Road and Kern <br />Road. Sufficient funds have been appropriated from the Sewer Funds. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt <br />of bids was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS NIMTZ <br />PARKWAY/TOLL ROAD INTERCHANGE - INTERCHANGE LANDSCAPING - PROJECT NO. <br />95-18-6 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director of Engineering, requested permission <br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this <br />project will provide landscaping around the new interchange. Sufficient funds are available from a <br />grant from the State of Indiana Transportation Finance Authority. Therefore, upon a motion made <br />by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids <br />was approved. <br />
