REGULAR MEETING JUKE 2, 1997 <br />REQUEST REFERRED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following request was <br />referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for recommendation: <br />- TO OBTAIN CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - HABITAT FOR HUMANITY <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Robert Collett, Habitat for Humanity, 402 East South Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, requested permission to obtain 1751 North Fremont, a vacant lot, from the City of <br />South Bend, for the purpose of building a single family dwelling. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />SERVICE <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendation from the Department of <br />Code Enforcement for a License Application for a Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service, as <br />submitted by Ms. Kay Ann Griesinger, 1804 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, Indiana. Mr. Littrell <br />noted that the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicles(s) to be used in conjunction with this <br />business, and has approved them. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and <br />carried, the License Application was approved. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to <br />Remonstrate as submitted by Ms. Shirley Schneck, 17676 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana. The <br />Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of <br />the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 17676 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02- <br />2023-054411), Ms. Schneck waives and releases any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose <br />any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer <br />made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Littrell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to <br />Remonstrate as submitted by Joseph and Alice Gerard, 18655 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana. <br />The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system <br />of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 18655 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana, (Key <br /># 02-1173-8299), the Gerard's waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose <br />any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer <br />made a motion that the Consent be approved.
