REGULAR MEETING <br />(c) Per vehicle, on a five-year contract <br />(d) Group rates on a monthly contract <br />(e) Group rates on a monthly contract for <br />$35.00 per mo <br />$35.00 per mo <br />JUKE 2, 1997 <br />rooftop parking $22.00 per mo. <br />(f) For purposes of Subsection (e), a group shall be defined as ten (10) or more spaces <br />leased pursuant to a single account. <br />(g) ' Priority for committing parking spaces within a City operated parking garage shall be <br />given to vehicles with the longest term parking contract and the highest monthly rental rate. <br />Commitment of spaces within a parking garage within a particular rate structure shall be determined <br />based upon (1) the number of parking spaces committed per single billing; (2) the length of time the <br />person has committed spaces within that garage; and (3) the payment experience of the account. <br />Persons entering into long term agreements for parking may be granted an option to renew <br />within the discretion of the Board of Public Works or its designee. <br />(h) The owner of any vehicle admitted to the garage pursuant to a rooftop group rate <br />contract shall be fined $10.00 in the event the vehicle is parked in -violation of the contract. <br />SECTION II. The following hourly rates shall be charged for individual vehicles <br />parked at City operated parking garages from June 23, 1997 to the end of the Leighton Plaza Project <br />construction, at which time rates will be reviewed: <br />Hours <br />Rate <br />0 to 2 hours <br />. Free <br />2 to 3 hours <br />$ 1.00 <br />3 to 5 hours <br />$ 2.00 <br />5 to 24 hours <br />$ 3.00 <br />Special Events <br />$ 2.00 <br />SECTION III. This Resolution rescinds and supersedes all prior resolutions setting <br />rates for municipal parking facilities. <br />SECTION IV. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF PROPERTY DAMAGE RELEASE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, a Property Damage <br />Release, as submitted by Great West Casualty Company, 1100 West 29th Street, South Sioux City, <br />Nebraska, for damages to City property, incurred by Martin .Trucking Co., Inc., South Bend, Indiana, <br />in the amount of $146.13 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT TABLED <br />The Contract from Housing Development Corporation was tabled, as Ms. Roemer is a member, and <br />there was not a quorum present. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO LEASE FOR OFFICE SPACE - 205 WEST JEFFERSON <br />Mr. Littrell stated that Ms. Pam Myer, Planning Department, submitted a request to exercise an <br />option to renew office space at 205 West Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana for the Division of Planing <br />and Neighborhood Development. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and <br />carried, the request was approved. <br />
