REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 3, 1997 <br />Bureau of Housing <br />$300,00 <br />Affordable Loan, Repair <br />Grant and Good Neighbors <br />Programs, 1997 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above referred to <br />Contracts and Addendum were approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE AGREEMENT - FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE LODGE NO. 36 <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Lease Agreement between the City of South <br />Bend and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 36, for property at 25327 State Road 23, South <br />Bend, Indiana, and 1530 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana. Mr. Caldwell noted that the <br />Agreement is in the amount of $20,000.00 from February 1, 1996 to January 31, 1997. Therefore, <br />upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Agreement was <br />approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT - STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM <br />INC. <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />the Studebaker National Museum, Inc., for management services for the Studebaker National <br />Museum. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $125,262.00 annually. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Agreement <br />was approved and executed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 11-1997 - DISCLAIMING ANY INTEREST IN A CERTAIN <br />PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1016 NORTH OLIVE STREET <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11-1997 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DISCLAIMING ANY INTEREST <br />IN A CERTAIN PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE COMMONLY KNOWN <br />AS 1016 NORTH OLIVE STREET, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works ('Board") has custody of all real property owned by <br />the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, a quit -claim deed has been received in the Office of the Recorder which purports <br />to transfer the following described parcel of real property: <br />Key number: 18 2091 3405 <br />Lot 30 Plat Mayes Mich Avenue Addition, <br />and commonly described as 1016 North Olive Street, <br />to the City of South Bend; and <br />WHEREAS, said quit -claim deed was executed by Jay Read, prepared and .notarized by Carol <br />McIntyre, and recorded with the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph County, Indiana, on November <br />15, 1996; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Code Enforcement ordered that the structure on the above <br />mentioned parcel be demolished, said order was affirmed by the St. Joseph County Circuit Court in <br />Cause No. 71C01-9508-CP-00873, and is currently pending before the Indiana Court of Appeals in <br />Cause No. 71A03-9609-CV-002-00352, Jay Read and Carol McIntyre v.
