<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above Quotations
<br />were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID - ONE (1)_1500 G.P.M. PUMPER
<br />Fire Chief Luther J. Taylor advised the Board that on March 2, 1998, bids were received and opened
<br />for the above referred to pumper. After reviewing those bids, Chief Taylor recommends that the
<br />Board award the contract to Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., 2600 American Drive, Appleton, Wisconsin,
<br />in the amount of $273,714.00, which is the base bid of $244,629.00 plus optional equipment
<br />amounting to $29,085.00. Therefore, Ms. Roemer made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BID - TWENTY-THREE (23) USED VEHICLES
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on March 2, 1998, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Gates Chevrolet, 401 South Lafayette, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $234,250.00, as described below.

<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on February.9, 1998,
<br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to vehicles. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Littrell recommends that the Board award the contract to Jordan Motors, 609 East Jefferson
<br />Boulevard, Mishawaka, Indiana, in the amount of $81',744.00. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a
<br />motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Roemer
<br />seconded the motion which carried.
