0 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 26, 1999 October, 1999, in front of 307 South Michigan. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - SECOND HAND DEALER Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand dealers license applications have been received: Oxian's Home Furnishings 1527 Lincolnway West Used Furnishings West End Trading 1222 West Western New and Used Items Jim & Pat's Retail Store 2210 Huron Miscellaneous Classic Boutique -T- 1636 Lincolnway West Antiques & Used Furniture Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department concerning the above applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATIONS - GARBAGE AND RUBBISH SERVICE Mr. Caldwell stated that the following Garbage and Rubbish Service applications have been received: Key Waste/Griffin Waste 15469 State Road 17, Culver, Indiana Eddie Ivory Rubbish 1302 West Linden Avenue Mr. Caldwell further advised that a favorable recommendations have been received by the Department of Code Enforcement concerning these applications. Further, the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected the vehicle(s) to be used in conjunction with these businesses, and has found them to be satisfactory. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above license applications were approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY - INSTALLATION OF BRICK AND LIMESTONE STRUCTURES - PARK AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Building Department, Fire Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Stan Molenda, Park Avenue Neighborhood Association, to install six brick and limestone structures to be placed in the tree lawn areas in the Park Avenue Neighborhood, as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBIC RIGHT OF WAY - PLACEMENT OF PLANTER IN FRONT OF THE LASALLE GRILL - 115 WEST COLFAX Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Building Department, Fire Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. David Hoath, LaSalle Grille, 115 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana to install a planter in front of 115 West Colfax. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT 4TH ANNUAL RIVERSIDE 4K RUN - PARKS AND RECREATION Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Park Department, Police. Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Susan O'Connor, South Bend Recreation Department, to conduct the above referred to run, on June 19, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
