REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 11, 2000 <br />BID: $664,294.00 <br />Unit Prices A $22.00 <br />Unit Prices B $ 8.85 <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred <br />to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />OPENING/AWARD OF BID - SALE OF ONE (1) MCCOY-MILLER AMBULANCE AND TWO <br />(2) PUMPERS <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the sale of the above referred to <br />equipment. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly <br />read: <br />MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AND HEALTH SYSTEM <br />615 North Michigan Street <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />BID: $6,500.00 - McCoy Miller Ambulance <br />No bids were received for the two (2) pumpers. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by <br />Mr. Inks and carried, the above bid was referred to the South Bend Fire Department for review and <br />recommendation. After reviewing the bid, Fire Chief Luther Taylor recommends that the Board <br />award the bid to Memorial Hospital and Health System in the amount of $6,500.00. Therefore, Mr. <br />Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. <br />Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. <br />OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - CARPETINGFOR RIVER LEVEL SUITES AND HALLWAYS - <br />CENTURY CENTER -PROJECT NO. 100-105 <br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed Quotations for <br />the above referred to project. The following Quotations were opened and read: <br />CARPET SERVICE OUTLET INC. <br />1514 Mishawaka Avenue <br />South Bend, Indiana 46615 <br />Quotation was submitted by Mr. Bill Shepard <br />QUOTATION: $33,443.46 <br />DUPONT FLOORING SYSTEMS <br />3505-113 North Home Street <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 <br />Quotation was submitted by DuPont Flooring Systems <br />QUOTATION: $45,350.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above Quotations were <br />referred to the Century Center for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BID - SOUTH SIDE SANITARY SEWER AND WATER MAIN EXTENSION - <br />PROJECT NO. 100-53 <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, advised the Board that on November27, 2000, bids were received <br />and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell recommends <br />
