<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTHFIELD
<br />SOUTHERN STORM SEWER - SECTION I - KERN ROAD TO SOUTHFIELD VILLAGE
<br />STORM WATER OUTLET - PROJECT NO. 100-59
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will install
<br />approximately 260 feet of 36 inch concrete pipe, 1,750 linear feet of 42 inch concrete pipe, manholes
<br />and ditch along the east side of Miami Road from Kern Road to the south. Therefore, upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of
<br />bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTHFIELD
<br />SOUTHERN STORM SEWER - SECTION II - SOUTHFIELD VILLAGE OUTLET TO
<br />SOUTHFIELD STORM BASIN -PROJECT NO 100-75
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will install
<br />approximately 600 feet of 48 inch concrete pipe, 900 feet of 54 inch concrete pipe, manholes and an
<br />outlet into the service and backfilled as part of the project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS
<br />SOUTHERNVIEW DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS - IRONWOOD DRIVE TO SAMPSON STREET -
<br />PROJECT NO. 100-01
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will
<br />remove and replace concrete curbs and approaches, lawn restoration and other appurtenant work.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the request to
<br />advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - YEAR 2000
<br />CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIRS - PHASE II - PROJECT NO 100-76
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will
<br />remove and replace concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveways, alley approaches, curb ramps and street
<br />pavement. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - SOUTHERNVIEW DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS - IRONWOOD
<br />DRIVE TO SAMPSON STREET -PROJECT NO 100-01
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this
<br />time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ECKMAN FROM RUSH TO
<br />ERSKINE - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr.
<br />Alberto Vitale, 613 East Eckman, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party
<br />on August 27, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded
<br />by Mr. Gilot and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ALTGELD FROM ERSKINE
<br />TO FELLOWS - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering,
<br />Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms.
<br />Sandra Schrader -Gould, 533 East Altgeld, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party on September 9, 2000, from 2:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Ms.
