<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to
<br />Agreements were approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - THIRTY (30)
<br />MORE OR LESS POLICE IN -CAR VIDEO SYSTEM
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Captain Gary Horvath, South Bend Police Department, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Captain Horvath
<br />stated that funding for this equipment is provided by the Department of Justice Block Grants and the
<br />Indiana State Law Enforcement Assistance Grant. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer,
<br />seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) MORE
<br />OR LESS, FRONT LOADING PAVEMENT PROFILER
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Equipment Services, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Mr. Chlebowski
<br />stated that funding for this equipment is provided by the Street Department Capital Budget Fund.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request to
<br />advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - CLEVELAND
<br />ROAD ADDED TRAVEL LANES - CLEVELAND FROM BENDIX DRIVE TO MEGHAN
<br />BEEHLER COURT - PROJECT NO. 98-87-1
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will add
<br />travel lanes on Cleveland Road from Bendix Drive to Meghan Beehler Court, and funding is provided
<br />through the Blackthorn Tax Incremental Fund. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT YEAR 2000 MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
<br />SUPER CITIES WALK
<br />Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Greg Bennett, Memorial Hospital 615 North Michigan, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to walk, on May 6, 2000, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the
<br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT MAURICE MATTHYS OPENING
<br />DAY PARADE
<br />Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Rick Kring, Box 3074, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to parade, on May 6, 2000, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on the designated route as submitted.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT NORTHWEST LITTLE LEAGUE
<br />OPENING DAY PARADE
<br />Ms. Roemer stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Jeanne Mahoney, 1742 North Brookfield, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to parade, on May 6, 2000, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the designated route
