REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 21, 2000 <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -TWO PIECES OF <br />HEAVY EQUIPMENT <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Matthew L. Chlebowshi, Director of Central Services, requested <br />permission to advertise for the sale of bids for(1) one 2-1/2 Yard Front End Rubber Tire Loader and <br />(1) one 5 Yard End Rubber Tire Loader. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded <br />by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. Funding source for this equipment is the <br />Environmental Services Capital Budget Fund. <br />APPROVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT <br />Ms. Roemer advised that Mr. Jeff Jankowski, City Attorney's Office, submitted to the Board for <br />approval a said agreement between the Morris Performing Arts Center and the South Bend Local <br />187, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). Mr. Jankowski gave a favorable <br />recommendation. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and <br />carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT -DEMOLITION OF FORMER HARDEE'S <br />RESTAURANT PROJECT NO. 100-02 <br />Ms. Roemer advised that the Board is in receipt of a contract between Warner and Sons, Inc. and the <br />City of South Bend for the above referenced project. Ms. Roemer noted that the contract is in the <br />amount of $16,880.00. The funding source for this project is the Section 108 Loan. Therefore, upon <br />a motion made by Mr Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE SPECIAL PERMIT - YELLOW FREIGHT SYSTEM, INC. <br />Ms. Roemer advised that the Board is in receipt of an application for a triple trailer combination <br />permit from Yellow Freight System, Inc to validate a trucking route. The route is defined in the <br />permit and is to be valid seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Upon a motion made by Mr Littrell, <br />seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of a favorable recommendation from Code <br />Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Charles J. Hagye, II, South Bend, Indiana. Upon <br />a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code <br />Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Roosevelt Lacy, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a <br />motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code <br />Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Herbert Howard, South Bend, Indiana. Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code <br />Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Sylvester Mullins, South Bend, Indiana. Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code <br />Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Wallace L. Deloach, South Bend, Indiana. Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was <br />approved. <br />
