REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 21, 2000 APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -TWO PIECES OF HEAVY EQUIPMENT In a memorandum to the Board, Matthew L. Chlebowshi, Director of Central Services, requested permission to advertise for the sale of bids for(1) one 2-1/2 Yard Front End Rubber Tire Loader and (1) one 5 Yard End Rubber Tire Loader. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. Funding source for this equipment is the Environmental Services Capital Budget Fund. APPROVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT Ms. Roemer advised that Mr. Jeff Jankowski, City Attorney's Office, submitted to the Board for approval a said agreement between the Morris Performing Arts Center and the South Bend Local 187, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). Mr. Jankowski gave a favorable recommendation. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT -DEMOLITION OF FORMER HARDEE'S RESTAURANT PROJECT NO. 100-02 Ms. Roemer advised that the Board is in receipt of a contract between Warner and Sons, Inc. and the City of South Bend for the above referenced project. Ms. Roemer noted that the contract is in the amount of $16,880.00. The funding source for this project is the Section 108 Loan. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. APPROVE SPECIAL PERMIT - YELLOW FREIGHT SYSTEM, INC. Ms. Roemer advised that the Board is in receipt of an application for a triple trailer combination permit from Yellow Freight System, Inc to validate a trucking route. The route is defined in the permit and is to be valid seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Upon a motion made by Mr Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of a favorable recommendation from Code Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Charles J. Hagye, II, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Roosevelt Lacy, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Herbert Howard, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Sylvester Mullins, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was approved. APPROVAL OF LICENSE RENEWAL FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL Mr. Roemer stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable a recommendation from Code Enforcement for a License Application Renewal for Wallace L. Deloach, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the License Application was approved.
